Soap, an essential daily cosmetic!

We use it every single day. Whether it’s for washing our hands, face, or body, this liquid or solid product has been a part of our daily routine for a long time.

But do you know what it takes to make this precious cosmetic? It has only three basic ingredients: a fat, such as vegetable oil; a strong base made of potash or caustic soda, depending on whether it’s liquid or solid; and, finally, water! Mixing these three ingredients ultimately produces glycerin, a natural moisturizer for the skin.

To obtain the finished product, you’ll then need to undergo cold or hot saponification, depending on the desired result.

Aleppo soap and Marseille soap are undoubtedly the oldest and best-known varieties. Of course, since then, a whole host of other wonderful soaps have appeared… much to our delight!

In our Musc Tahara shop, you’ll be delighted to find a wide selection. Whether you have oily, combination, sensitive, dry, or mature skin, our little cleansing products are suitable for you.

Discover, for example, the nila soap, which has been a huge hit for some time now. Suitable for all skin types, it is primarily used to help lighten certain areas of the body, such as the underarms, knees, or elbows.

The turmeric-enriched soap is particularly popular for the face because it gives a fresher, brighter, and naturally sun-kissed complexion. Plus, it’s moisturizing and acts as an exfoliant.

Furthermore, Ghanaian black soap is a staple in our natural cosmetics line. It deeply cleanses the skin, fights acne, soothes itching, and makes it easier to remove makeup.

Various ways to use this cosmetic  

For the face: Most of our small solid bars can be used to cleanse the face, morning and night. This allows you to adopt a healthy beauty routine without using too many products.

As a mask: Most face and body soaps can be used as a mask. For example, leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes on your face or a specific area of skin. Then simply rinse with clean water, repeating this routine once a week. Finally, remember to moisturize your skin afterward, such as with Tahara body cream!

For hygiene: It’s an essential for daily cleansing. But bar soap is more economical and healthier for the skin. It cleanses, moisturizes, and smells great too!
